Friends of Notre Dame, Inc. Mission Statement
The Friends of Notre Dame, Inc., a Michigan non-profit corporation, with the intent to continue the legacy of Notre Dame High School, commits to the preservation of traditions of the Notre Dame High School community and to the communication of ongoing important information and items of interest to the entire Notre Dame community. The Notre Dame community includes, but is not limited to: alumni, parents, and former faculty and staff.
The goals of the Friends of Notre Dame, Inc. include, but are not limited to: operating and maintaining the Notre Dame High School Alumni Association, organization and facilitation of Alumni Events, and the re-establishment of Notre Dame as a faith-based, college-preparatory high school for young men and women without regard to race, color or national origin in accordance with the philosophy and traditions of the teachings of Jesus Christ, where the instructional programs include education in morality, the arts and sciences, and professional and physical training in order to further the intellectual and spiritual growth of its students, to prepare them for higher education, to enable them to discharge their responsibilities to society, and to offer each student the very best in materials and skills for fruitful scholarship.
All members of the staff and executive board will attempt to convey information in a responsible, fair, and accurate manner.
The Friends of Notre Dame, Inc. will not knowingly publish any material (including advertising) that is indisputably offensive, libelous, or harmful to our membership; nor will we violate the right to privacy of any member.
All unsigned editorials are written by the executive board members and represent the majority opinion of the executive board.
